Shane Alexander has been the pastor of Robinson Church of Christ since August 2017, though his relationship to the congregation reaches back much further. The church is at a point in its life when it is focusing on its mission in the world.

The church has several connections to the Baylor community, including several Baylor doctoral students who are current members.

Information about Robinson Church of Christ’s Congregational Project

As a congregation revitalized after the end of the post-pandemic shutdown, Robinson Church of Christ is looking to build inter-congregational relationships to increase a sense of belonging while aligning strategies with the church’s goals of becoming more like Christ and blessing the world.  

The congregation utilizes the tool of storytelling to build the practice of active listening. They are cultivating a small group ministry, seminars, and small group curriculum to build relationships rooted in community outreach that can lead to mutual theological reflection and stories to share within each group and with the congregation as a whole.
